Job summary

BAE Systems is seeking a Senior/Principal Naval Architect to lead analysis of submarine manoeuvring performance from concept to in-service support. You will develop and validate manoeuvring models using test data and work with enterprise partners to enhance modelling capabilities.

This role involves collaboration with Naval Architecture teams and customers to deliver innovative, safe submarine solutions, while supporting hydrodynamic trials.

Qualifications

• Experience in generation of ship or submarine manoeuvring modelling.
• Strong understanding of hydrodynamic principles.
• Degree in Naval Architecture, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics or Physics, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyse submarine platform manoeuvring performance from concept design to in-service support.
• Develop, verify and validate mathematical manoeuvring models using physical model test data.
• Collaborate with Naval Architecture teams and customers to deliver safe submarine solutions.
