Job summary

Babcock International in the UK is hiring a Maintenance Planning Engineer to join the Task Library team, focusing on accurate maintenance data and governance for submarine programs. You will work across engineering and project teams to ensure reliable planning information.

The role offers hybrid working, security clearance, and development opportunities within a world-leading defence contractor, supporting the UK’s defence capability. A UK national with SC clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Degree, HNC/HND, NVQ Level 4/5 or equivalent in Engineering or data-related discipline.
• Experience in engineering delivery, maintenance planning or project planning environments.
• Understanding of submarine or surface ship operations and maintenance activities.
• Experience in engineering/data environments, managing information from multiple sources.
• Proven ability to capture, analyse and interpret complex data to support planning and decision-making.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and attention-to-detail skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing collection, validation, and formatting of maintenance data for inclusion within the Task Library.
• Maintaining the Task Library as the trusted source of maintenance planning data.
• Reviewing and controlling maintenance task data for accuracy and governance.
• Collaborating with engineering and project teams to obtain critical maintenance information.
• Driving continuous improvement to data quality and planning effectiveness.
