Job summary

Pertemps is seeking a Subject Access Request Officer to support during a busy period. The role focuses on processing SARs, reviewing documentation, and applying redactions in line with GDPR. You will work remotely with UK offices available, and start ASAP for a temporary assignment through mid November.

The ideal candidate will have prior SAR experience, strong knowledge of UK GDPR, and the ability to manage large volumes of information while maintaining accuracy and data security.

Qualifications

• Previous experience handling Subject Access Requests is essential.
• Good working knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection requirements.
• Good understanding of GDPR exemptions and how they apply to Subject Access Requests.
• Previous experience reviewing and redacting information for disclosure.
• Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable reviewing large volumes of documentation.
• Strong administrative and IT skills.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines.
• Able to work independently and manage your own workload.

Responsibilities

• Review documents, emails, records and other information relating to Subject Access Requests.
• Identify personal, confidential and third party information within documentation.
• Review and apply appropriate redactions in line with GDPR and data protection requirements.
• Apply knowledge of GDPR exemptions when assessing information for disclosure.
• Prepare documentation accurately for release in response to Subject Access Requests.
• Handle confidential and sensitive information securely and professionally.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of SAR activity and completed work.
• Ensure redactions are accurate, consistent and appropriate.
• Review potentially large volumes of documentation while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Work to required SAR deadlines and timescales.
• Follow relevant policies, procedures and data protection requirements.
• Manage your own workload and work independently when required.
