Job summary

United Infrastructure T&D Limited is seeking a Subcontracts Engineer to join our Glasgow office on a hybrid basis. Reporting to the Subcontracts Lead, you will drive subcontract activities, ensuring alignment with project requirements and procurement strategies.

We expect a degree or diploma in a related field, with CIPS accreditation preferred. The role involves interaction with contractors, suppliers and stakeholders across UK projects, contributing to our growing workload and net-zero

Qualifications

Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, QS, Law, or related field with CIPS preferred.
Experience in contracting/subcontracting, ideally in Power/Construction sectors.
Able to interact effectively with contractors, subcontractors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Operate in accordance with Corporate and Project Supply Chain Procedures.
Ensure all subcontract activities follow the project execution plan, budgets and processes.
Utilise ASR and project/client approved registers for supplier evaluation, audit and selection; conduct performance reviews.
Undertake subcontractor performance reviews and corrective actions as required.
Attend project site visits and meetings; promote safe working practices.
Record and maintain subcontract trackers up to date.
