Job summary

Siemens Energy Lincoln is seeking a Cell Manager for Sub Assembly to lead a dedicated manufacturing area delivering critical sub-assembly components that support the gas turbine build schedule. You will oversee daily operations, ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost, and drive continuous improvement.

You will manage a team of fitters and manufacturing professionals, coordinate labour, tooling and materials, and work with Rotor, Build, Planning, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to remove

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing, assembly or precision engineering environment.
• Strong people management and coaching skills with experience leading skilled manufacturing or assembly teams.
• Experience managing assembly operations against operational KPIs including Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC).
• Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and waste reduction methodologies such as Kaizen and root cause analysis.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Quality and Production teams within a complex manufacturing environment.
• Strong focus on safety, operational discipline and delivering high standards of workmanship and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Sub Assembly team, setting clear expectations and building a strong culture focused on safety, quality and operational performance.
• Manage day-to-day Sub Assembly operations to ensure schedule adherence and effective support of customer delivery requirements.
• Establish and strengthen Sub Assembly as a standalone operational area, driving accountability, workflow efficiency and performance improvement.
• Coordinate labour, tooling, equipment and materials to maximise productivity and minimise operational disruption.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen improvement activities, identifying waste reduction opportunities, improving throughput and supporting operational excellence.
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to resolve quality, safety and operational issues while ensuring compliance with engineering and EHS standards.
