Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Sub Assembly Fitter in the Lincoln area to assemble, strip, and maintain small gas turbine components within a hands-on production team. You will use a range of hand and power tools, precision measuring equipment, and lifting fixtures to ensure high-quality workmanship and traceable build data.

Preference is given to applicants with Level 3 apprenticeships/NVQ Level 3 in mechanical engineering, rotating equipment experience, and strong problem-solving and

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized Level 3 apprenticeship in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent technical certificate in a mechanical engineering field, supplemented with relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrable experience in a mechanical fitting role, preferably involving rotating equipment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, strip, and re-use small gas turbine components using hand and power tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Perform mechanical fitting tasks on rotating equipment and operate lifting equipment and fixtures to move components safely.
• Maintain accurate build data records and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain 5S in the workspace.
