Job summary

The Resolute Group is seeking a Project Planner in Glasgow to transition from a site-based Sub Agent into a full-time Planning Engineer. You will build and deliver live project programmes using Primavera P6 and integrate your civil engineering knowledge with practical scheduling.

Reporting to the Planning Manager and mentored by Senior Planning Engineers, you will collate activity data, report progress to clients, and support the commercial team with KPI data while enjoying hybrid working and

Qualifications

• Experience on site key developing up from a Site Engineer into a Sub Agent in a Civil Engineering environment.
• Engineering qualification be HNC / HND or Degree in an Engineering based subject.
• Knowledge of P6 software.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong working relationships with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Take responsibility for coordinating all third-party constraints, design, procurement and construction information into the programme
• Make project team members at all relevant levels aware of programme risks, key issues and solutions in a proactive manner.
• Experience of coordinating schedules with stakeholders at all levels and reporting progress.

Project Planner (Transferring from a site-based Sub Agent)

An amazing opportunity to transfer your skills as a Sub Agent into a full-time Planning Engineer. Utilising your project and Civil Engineering knowledge into creating and delivering a live project programme on P6

£60,000 - £65,000 basic + Car or Car allowance + Bonus + Package

Role Description:

The Resolute Group have been retained with a Tier 1 contractor who are growing their planning function and as such now looking for the next generation. Delivering £3bn of work in the Energy and Power sectors for the next 5 years across Scotland.

As a Project Planner, you be reporting directly to the Planning Manager but mentored by both Senior Planning Engineers and the Planning Manager. Teaching you the details of the P6 software, transferring your project knowledge in to how to create and deliver project programmes. Ensuring that individual project programmes are developed, maintained and reported in line with clients requirements.

You will be responsible for collating and reporting activity data to support the commercial team, as well as key performance data for quality management purposes. This is a perfect role for an aspiring P6 Planner in the infrastructure sector looking for stability and development over the next 5 years in Scotland.

Day to Day duties will vary but could include:

• Develop strong working relationships with clients, consultants, sub-contractors and Internal stakeholders.
• Take responsibility for coordinating all third-party constraints, design, procurement and construction information into the programme
• Make project team members at all relevant levels aware of programme risks, key issues and solutions in a proactive manner.
• Experience of working on Primavera P6 and the Microsoft Office suite
• Able to facilitate and lead on the development of schedules with stakeholders at all levels
• Effective communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-functional team.

Working on a hybrid basis, with flexible working hours as long as the project outputs are achieved. Designed around if you need to drop the kids at school, pick them up at home time or attend appointments such as the dentist.

Qualifications:

• Experience on site is key developing up from a Site Engineer into a Sub Agnet in a Civil Engineering environment. Understanding the drawings and technical specifications.
• Engineering Qualification be HNC / HND or Degree in an Engineering based subject.
• Knowledge of P6 software.
