Job summary

Deanston Cooper Ltd is seeking a Sub Agent to join a civil engineering framework on Scottish Water projects in the Glasgow area. The role focuses on driving the construction phase, supervising site engineering and labour, and ensuring safety, quality and progress targets are met.

The ideal candidate will hold a minimum HNC Civil Engineering, have experience at Section/Senior Engineer or Sub Agent level, and demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills to coordinate multiple

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC Civil Engineering.
• Experience at Section Engineer / Senior Engineer / Sub Agent level on civil projects.
• Ideally some Scottish Water project experience.
• Technical ability and good organisational skills.
• Ability to focus on targets and practical solutions.
• Good communication with all levels of the workforce.

Responsibilities

• Drive construction phase of project.
• Manage and supervise Site Engineering.
• Supervise and monitor site labour and sub-contractors.
• Prepare risk assessments and method statements.
• Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are followed.
• Maintain quality records to meet requirements.
• Resolve technical difficulties and problems.
• Check drawings and specifications.
• Review construction progress and performance.
• Plan resources (labour and plant) to support project execution.
• Deliver project within programme and budget.
