Murphy is seeking a Sub Agent to join our civil engineering team handling construction sites and ensuring safe, efficient delivery of substation projects in the UK. You will produce H&S plans, manage work packages, lead pre-construction meetings, review KPI trends, and support site supervision with labour and plant coordination, with a focus on Zero Harm and value delivery.

Applicants should have HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering and proven sectional foreman experience; strong communication

Qualifications

• HNC/HND/ Degree Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience in civil engineering projects. Knowledge of company policy and procedures including safety and environment related issues.
• Ability to produce, implement and manage safe systems of work for construction procedures. Successful experience as a section / trades foreman.
• Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of the set up and day to day running of a Construction site.
• An understanding of the commercial issues in undertaking a construction project.
• Ability and confidence to discuss engineering issues with people across various levels and disciplines.
• Excellent knowledge of current civil engineering legislation as well as Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Able to read drawings and construct to them, work to a programme and keep site records.

Responsabilités

• Produce Construction Phase Plans (H&S Plans), Risk Assessments, Work Package Plans (Method Statements) and Task Briefings in line with Murphy procedures.
• Ensure workplaces under their control have effective systems, arrangements and supervision for providing a safe workplace.
• Lead weekly construction planning sessions with project delivery team.
• Lead and record subcontractor weekly progress meeting, tracking KPI’s, safety performance, deliverables, commercial actions.
• Organise and lead pre-construction meetings with supply chain to ensure works are fit-to-start.
