Job summary

Matchtech Group invites applications for a Sub Agent role within the water sector. The successful candidate will support Construction and Project delivery teams on AMP8 projects with United Utilities, ensuring compliance, quality, and timely communications across the programme.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent, H&S qualifications, professional body membership, and proven multi-disciplinary project delivery experience. Driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
• Knowledge of relevant H&S legislation, CDM duty holder relationships.
• H&S qualification (SMSTS/IOSH/NEBOSH).
• Membership of a relevant professional body (APM, CMI, ICE).
• Experience delivering multi-disciplinary projects.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Self-motivated, resilient, and tenacious under pressure.
• Leadership and management skills.
• Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams in meeting legal and industry standards.
• Ensure H&S management arrangements are in place throughout the project.
• Administer the Project Management Plan and ensure QA is met.
• Ensure staff have the necessary training and experience for their roles.
• Understand all aspects of client and supply chain contracts.
• Support PM & QS in supply chain notifications and project cost management.
• Be proficient with client digital platforms and communicate outputs effectively.
• Manage stakeholder accountability in relation to programme obligations.
• Escalate project issues and risks with mitigation plans.
• Lead project governance from a client-facing perspective with required documentation.
