Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Site Agent for projects across the AMP8 Framework with United Utilities, based in Manchester. Lead safety, quality, and delivery across multi-disciplinary teams on water infrastructure schemes.

You will oversee design, construction, commissioning and execution, plan activities, review execution plans, and monitor delivery while maintaining strong client relationships and focus on risk management and value.

Qualifications

• Experience managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on time, budget, and quality.
• Knowledge of NEC construction contracts and CDM health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project execution plans are followed from tender to completion.

• Prepare and approve detailed construction plans and method statements before work begins.

Job description

Our client, a leader in the water sector, is currently seeking a Site Agent to join their team for projects across the AMP8 Framework Agreement with United Utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote exceptional safety and delivery quality standards to direct and subcontracted workforce.
• Ensure the BMS is implemented at all stages throughout the project delivery process, from tender handover to final completion.
• Maintain good client relationships at all levels to ensure project success.
• Manage the design, construction, commissioning, and execution of contracts efficiently while prioritising health and safety and customer satisfaction.
• Plan projects, including reviewing and approving the Project Execution Plan, and then monitor and control project delivery.
• Prepare and approve detailed construction plans and method statements prior to the commencement of activities.
• Ensure all commercial aspects of the project are managed proactively, providing accurate forecasts and estimates.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ideally within the water industry.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction, commercial, or engineering-related discipline.
• Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and end-users.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Knowledge of NEC construction contracts
• Understanding of CDM and construction health and safety.
• Ability to present at governance reviews and manage risk and opportunities effectively.
