Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting an experienced Sub-Agent for a major highways and civil engineering project in Cullompton, Devon. ASAP start with around 12 months of work on a relief road, structures, earthworks, drainage and concrete works.

You will manage sections, supervise site teams and subcontractors, and ensure delivery to programme and safety standards, focusing on FRC, concrete and earthworks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sub-Agent on highways projects.
• Strong knowledge of FRC, concrete and earthworks.
• Experience delivering large infrastructure works with safety focus.
• CSCS qualification required; SMSTS and First Aid advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of allocated sections.
• Supervise site teams and subcontractors.
• Coordinate FRC, concrete and earthworks activities.
• Ensure works are on programme, to specification and safe.
• Liaise with Site Agents, Engineers and project team.
• Monitor progress, quality and productivity.
• Maintain RAMS, ITPs and site documentation.

Are you an experienced Sub-Agent with a strong background in FRC, concrete and earthworks?

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sub-Agent to join a major highways and civil engineering project in Cullompton, Devon, with an immediate start available and the potential for around 12 months of work.

The Opportunity

You will be working on a major new highways scheme involving the construction of a relief road, alongside significant structures, earthworks, drainage and concrete works.

The role would suit a Sub-Agent who is comfortable managing sections of large-scale civil engineering works and has strong experience across FRC/concrete and earthworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day delivery of allocated sections of the project
• Supervising and coordinating site teams and subcontractors
• Managing FRC, concrete and earthworks activities
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
• Coordinating with Site Agents, Engineers and the wider project team
• Monitoring progress, quality and productivity
• Ensuring RAMS, ITPs and site documentation are followed

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Sub-Agent
• Strong highways background
• Proven experience with FRC/concrete and earthworks
• Experience working on major infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of site delivery, quality and health & safety
• Relevant CSCS qualification
• SMSTS and First Aid would be advantageous
