Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Sub Agent/Agent for a highways and civil engineering scheme in Cambridgeshire. You will oversee day-to-day site delivery, manage on-site teams and subcontractors, and ensure works meet programme, budget and quality targets.

Ideal candidates will have a proven Sub Agent/Agent background on civil schemes, with experience in earthworks, drainage and structures, and hold a civil engineering qualification or progression from site engineering.

• Proven experience as a Sub Agent or Agent on civil engineering schemes.
• Mixed background across earthworks, drainage and structures.
• Engineering background or progression from a site engineer role.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of earthworks, drainage and structures packages on site.
• Plan and coordinate site activities, plant, resources and subcontractors.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on setting out, temporary works and quality records.
• Act as main site contact for client, engineers and stakeholders.
• Produce and review RAMS, permits, site diaries and progress reports.
• Support Project Manager with programme, cost and commercial matters.

Sub Agent / Agent - Highways & Civil Engineering Scheme

Location: Cambridgeshire

Rate: £(Apply online only) per day - CIS or Ltd company available

Duration: 6 months, rolling

About the Role:

Are you a Sub Agent or Agent looking for your next contract? We're looking for an experienced Sub Agent / Agent to join a civil engineering scheme in Cambridgeshire. This is a great opportunity for someone with a mixed background across earthworks, drainage and structures, and a solid engineering background, to take ownership of site delivery. You'll be responsible for running day-to-day site operations, managing site teams and subcontractors, and making sure works are delivered safely, on programme, on budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the delivery of earthworks, drainage and structures packages.
• Planning and coordinating site activities, plant, resources and subcontractors.
• Making sure works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification.
• Working closely with the engineering team on setting out, temporary works and quality records.
• Acting as the main point of contact on site for the client, engineers and stakeholders.
• Producing and reviewing RAMS, permits, site diaries and progress reports.
• Supporting the Project Manager with programme, cost and commercial matters.
