Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join the delivery team on a major civils infrastructure project in Birmingham. The role focuses on supporting the Site Agent, coordinating subcontractors and site teams, and ensuring the programme is delivered safely and to specification.

You will coordinate planning and sequencing works, monitor progress, and maintain RAMS and documentation while liaising with engineers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sub Agent, Section Engineer or Site Engineer in civil/infrastructure.
• Relevant civil engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience on major civils/utilities/highways projects.
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• SMSTS and site safety qualifications.
• CSCS or equivalent industry certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Agent with management of site operations.

We are currently looking for an experienced Sub Agent to join the delivery team on a major civils infrastructure project in Birmingham.

The Role

• Supporting the Site Agent with the management of site operations.
• Supervising and coordinating subcontractors and site teams.
• Planning and sequencing works in line with the project programme.
• Ensuring works are undertaken in accordance with RAMS, drawings and specifications.
• Monitoring progress and reporting against programme.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Assisting with site records, inspections and quality documentation.
• Liaising with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
• Identifying and resolving construction issues.
• Supporting the Site Agent with planning, coordination and project delivery.

About You

• Experience working as a Sub Agent, Section Engineer or Site Engineer within civil engineering/infrastructure.
• A relevant civil engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience working on major civils, utilities, highways, rail or infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of construction methods and site delivery.
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work effectively within a project team.
• SMSTS and relevant site safety qualifications.
• CSCS or equivalent industry certification.
