Job summary

AA Euro Group is currently seeking an experienced Sub Agent on behalf of a client delivering large scale infrastructure works across the Birmingham area. The role offers an option to work on PAYE or LTD and accommodation can be provided for the duration of the project.

You will lead the delivery planning, coordinate day‑to‑day site activities, mentor the site team, manage subcontractors, and liaise with the commercial team on NEC contract notices while ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 and

Qualifications

• Engineering degree holder or equivalent is required.
• Experience in managing subcontractors and working with a major contractor is essential.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills with the ability to report to the Project Manager/Construction Manager.
• Highly organised with good coordination and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to technical details.
• Working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and related standards is essential.
• SMSTS minimum qualification; Temporary Works Coordinator desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and planning for delivery of works, including resources, logistics, access and construction readiness docs.
• Manage, coordinate and supervise day‑to‑day site activities from construction through closeout.
• Mentor and develop site team members to maintain high levels of control.
• Oversee site supervision including subcontractors to align with project milestones.
• Manage internal and external interfaces for execution and ensure effective communication.
• Advise commercial team on notices and instructions under NEC contract.
• Review and approve Method Statements and Risk Assessments and conduct periodic reviews.
• Prepare Temporary Works Design Briefs and coordinate Temporary Works on site.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the preparation and planning for the delivery of the works, including resources, logistics, access, and construction readiness documentation.
• Manage, coordinate, and supervise the day-to-day site activities from construction through to close out and ensure the works are performed to the contract requirements.
• Manage, supervise, train and mentor the site team members to maintain high levels of operational control and support their professional development.
• Oversee the site supervision including subcontractors’ performance and make sure alignment with project objectives and milestones
• Manage the internal and external interfaces with regards to the execution of the works, ensuring effective communication and coordination
• Advise and assist the commercial team in the preparation of all necessary contractual notices and instructions (under NEC contract)
• Review, approve and manage the correct implementation of Method Statements Risk Assessments, and undertake periodic reviews.
• Prepare Temporary Works Design Briefs and Coordinate Temporary Works on site

Essential Experience

• Engineering Degree holder, or similar equivalent, with multi-disciplinary breadth
• Proven experience in managing subcontractors and working with a major contractor
• Excellent team player and team leader, reporting progress to the Project Manager / Construction Manager
• Highly organised with good management and coordination skills
• Strong on technical details and with good communication skills
• Working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and current legislation and standards associated with all engineering aspects
• Essential SMSTS minimum qualified.Temporary Works Coordinator desired
