Job summary

CarmichaelUK in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, seeks a Sub Agent to join the highways team with occasional travel to other sites within the area. The role supports programme delivery, RAMS, and H&S oversight on infrastructure projects valued up to £4m.

You will use Bluebeam for take-offs, assist material procurement, manage site records, and lead toolbox talks and site meetings. A CSCS card is required; SSSTS/SMSTS is preferred.

Qualifications

• CSCS card is required for site access.
• Experience with highway infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• SSSTS/SMSTS is preferred to support site safety management.

Responsibilities

• Assist or oversee site progress and programme delivery.
• Review RAMS and quality management plans.
• Support or lead toolbox talks and change management.
• Perform material take-offs and stock checks; assist procurement.
• Maintain site records, attend meetings, and coordinate lifts.
• Conduct or support H&S inspections and quality assurance.

Carmichael are seeking a Sub Agent to join the team working on a highway’s infrastructure project based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

The position may also require you to travel to other site locations within the area.

• Assisting or overseeing site progress / programme
• Assisting or overseeing project health, safety and quality
• Measures / take offs – need to have experience of using bluebeam
• Material take offs / call offs / stock takes
