Job summary

British GQ, part of Condé Nast, is seeking a Style Editor to lead writing, commissioning and editing across print, digital, social and video. You will shape coverage in menswear, luxury, watches and accessories, identifying cultural conversations and opportunities for audience growth.

The role demands exceptional writing, strong editorial instincts and a digital-first mindset, with in-office attendance four days a week in London.

Qualifications

• Significant editorial experience within fashion, luxury and style journalism.
• Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills across digital, print, social and video.
• A strong understanding of menswear, luxury fashion, watches and style.
• Excellent editorial judgement with a digital-first mindset.
• Experience applying SEO best practices and using digital publishing platforms.
• Experience with content management systems; proficiency with Airtable, Google Analytics and Parse.ly is advantageous.
• Strong industry contacts across fashion and luxury.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A collaborative, proactive approach and enthusiasm for developing original editorial ideas.
• A passion for British GQ’s editorial voice and ambition to help grow its audience across every platform.

Responsibilities

• Write, commission and edit stories across British GQ’s style verticals.
• Lead digital coverage of fashion news, collections, launches and trends.
• Develop original features, interviews, essays and recurring editorial franchises.
• Contribute to watches coverage across digital and print.
• Plan coverage around Fashion Week and Watches & Wonders.
• Collaborate across editorial, social, video, ecommerce and commercial teams to maximize reach.
• Update and optimise evergreen content with SEO and audience insights.
• Build relationships across fashion, luxury and watch industries.
• Represent British GQ at industry events and launches.
• Generate ideas for editorial packages and digital franchises.
• Support wider editorial initiatives including tentpole moments.
