Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Study Delivery Senior Manager to own global clinical trial delivery, translating product and clinical objectives into executable plans that ensure timely, high-quality data to support its mission to serve patients. You will lead end-to-end delivery of assigned studies with accountability for quality, timelines, budget and operational performance across geographies.

You will manage cross-functional study teams, define feasibility and site engagement plans, oversee enrollment

Qualifications

• Clinical trial execution experience with leadership of teams or projects.
• Experience across multiple geographies and resources.
• Experience representing a sponsor in audits/inspections.
• Experience overseeing CROs, central labs, imaging vendors, etc.
• Background in life sciences or related biopharmaceutical research.

Responsibilities

• Own global clinical trial delivery and end-to-end study plans.
• Lead cross-functional study teams to align data with evidence generation strategy.
• Define feasibility, site engagement, recruitment, retention, and vendor delivery.
• Identify and manage study risks with quality-by-design and risk-based approaches.
• Oversee enrollment, data flow, monitoring, and corrective actions.
• Provide leadership, issue resolution, and escalation across geographies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors for performance and collaboration.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and regulatory compliance.

What you will do

In this vital role, you will own global clinical trial delivery, translating product and clinical objectives into executable plans that ensure timely, high-quality data in support of Amgen’s mission to serve patients. You will own end-to-end delivery of assigned clinical studies with accountability for quality, timelines, budget, and operational performance, working across functions and geographies to drive consistent delivery.

• Leading cross-functional study teams to deliver clinical data aligned with evidence generation strategy.
• Defining and executing study plans covering feasibility, site selection, site engagement, recruitment, retention, and vendor delivery.
• Identifying and managing study risks using quality-by-design and risk-based approaches to protect participant safety and data integrity.
• Overseeing global study execution, including enrollment, data flow, monitoring, and corrective actions.
• Providing clear leadership, issue resolution, and escalation management across geographies.
• Partnering effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure performance and collaboration.
• Driving continuous improvement, innovation, and regulatory compliance throughout the study lifecycle.

• Degree educated
• Clinical trial execution experience and previous people leadership managing teams, projects, resources or or directing the allocation or resources
• Previous experience in life sciences or a related field, including biopharmaceutical clinical research
• Previous management experience of direct reports across multiple geographies
• Experience representing a sponsor company in regulatory audit/inspections
• Experience at or oversight of outside clinical research vendors (CRO’s, central labs, imaging vendors, etc.)

Ability to work flexibly from home with regular office work either from our Cambridge or Uxbridge next generation workspace.
