Job summary

Carlton Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Studio Assistant to support daily operations across SW London studios. You will prepare spaces for shoots, paint as needed and help ensure everything is ready for a seamless production environment.

The role requires practical hands-on ability, attention to detail, and flexibility for occasional after-hours work. Experience in studio settings and using lighting equipment is preferred, along with a reliable, can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• You’ll be busy and hands-on, with a practical mindset.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Occasional evenings/weekends may be required.
• Ability to lift/move studio equipment safely.
• Experience in a studio environment with lighting equipment.
• Interest in photography, filmmaking or creative industries.
• Basic DIY or maintenance skills.
• A practical, hands-on approach and positive attitude.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare studios before and after shoots, including painting.
• Move lighting equipment for shoots and maintain workspace.
• Keep studios and facilities clean, tidy and presentable.
• Carry out basic maintenance around the building.
• Check lighting equipment and report faults or damage.
