Video Broadcast Manager
The Video Broadcast Manager is responsible for all aspects of live video production, managing a small team and overseeing all live activities within the in-house studio and off-site. They should have a strong grasp of technical equipment and broadcast environment operations, from cameras to transmission. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a desire to innovate, are essential.
Responsibilities
- Manage and run the Live team and in-house broadcast studios.
- Oversee production and facilitation of live programming and virtual events to a world-class standard.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or inconsistencies in the Live workstream.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our live offerings.
- Ensure the overall look and feel of all video assets and suggest improvements for innovation.
- Operate studio and streaming equipment, including cameras, lighting, sound, transmission, and vision mixing.
- Liaise with clients for requirements, feedback, and bookings.
- Direct live shows and manage on-screen talent to ensure success.
- Execute projects within deadlines and budget constraints.
- Possess advanced shooting and non-linear editing skills.
Experience & Skills
- Ideally 5+ years in a similar role or livestream environment.
- Hands-on experience with quality audio, video, and graphics management.
- Experience with live switching of multiple cameras in broadcast or virtual events.
- Ability to troubleshoot video, audio, and streaming issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Curiosity about live and video trends.
- Experience with multiple video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Skype, Gotowebinar, etc.).
- Excellent IT and networking knowledge relevant to broadcast and streaming workflows.
- Experience directing within a live multi-camera setup.
