Video Broadcast Manager

The Video Broadcast Manager is responsible for all aspects of live video production, managing a small team and overseeing all live activities within the in-house studio and off-site. They should have a strong grasp of technical equipment and broadcast environment operations, from cameras to transmission. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a desire to innovate, are essential.

Responsibilities

1. Manage and run the Live team and in-house broadcast studios.
2. Oversee production and facilitation of live programming and virtual events to a world-class standard.
3. Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or inconsistencies in the Live workstream.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our live offerings.
5. Ensure the overall look and feel of all video assets and suggest improvements for innovation.
6. Operate studio and streaming equipment, including cameras, lighting, sound, transmission, and vision mixing.
7. Liaise with clients for requirements, feedback, and bookings.
8. Direct live shows and manage on-screen talent to ensure success.
9. Execute projects within deadlines and budget constraints.
10. Possess advanced shooting and non-linear editing skills.

Experience & Skills

1. Ideally 5+ years in a similar role or livestream environment.
2. Hands-on experience with quality audio, video, and graphics management.
3. Experience with live switching of multiple cameras in broadcast or virtual events.
4. Ability to troubleshoot video, audio, and streaming issues.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Curiosity about live and video trends.
7. Experience with multiple video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Skype, Gotowebinar, etc.).
8. Excellent IT and networking knowledge relevant to broadcast and streaming workflows.
9. Experience directing within a live multi-camera setup.
