Job summary

Heartwood Learning Trust is seeking an Education & Welfare Support Officer to join our pastoral team and help vulnerable students thrive by improving attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing.

You will work closely with staff, families and external agencies, coordinating safeguarding, transition on admissions and one-to-one support, and ensuring smooth placements for commissioned students throughout their journey.

Responsibilities

• Improve attendance and behaviour of students
• Provide emotional wellbeing support and safeguarding
• Coordinate targeted one-to-one support for vulnerable students
• Lead admission and transition of commissioned students and liaise with commissioning schools and families
• Coordinate information on attendance, behaviour and progress and facilitate quality-assurance meetings/visits by commissioners
