Job summary

Randstad Student Support is seeking a Student Support Advisor to be a first point of contact for students, offering confidential guidance on non-academic matters and helping safeguard welfare.

You will collaborate with colleges and central services to create an inclusive support model, manage caseloads, deliver workshops, and support events with professional boundaries and creative problem solving.

Qualifications

• Experience in a HE/FE student-facing environment.
• Excellent oral, listening and written communication skills.
• Highly organised, flexible and able to work under pressure with problem-solving.
• Level 3 qualification (A levels) or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential, direct support and advice to students on non-academic matters.
• Manage and monitor support caseloads and respond to residential in-college issues.
• Make initial decisions to connect students with the best available support for straightforward cases.
• Create, manage and securely maintain caseload records following University procedures.
• Deliver workshops, talks and training sessions for students and student leaders.
• Occasionally work evenings/weekends to support events and activities.
