Job summary

Randstad Student Support is seeking a role focused on providing essential advice as the first point of contact to students, promoting safeguarding, welfare and wellbeing across college services.

You will collaborate with college, departmental and central teams to connect students with appropriate support, deliver workshops, and maintain secure caseload records, with occasional late or weekend work to support events.

Qualifications

• Experience in a HE/FE student-facing environment.
• Excellent oral, listening and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, flexible and able to work under pressure with creative problem-solving.
• Desirable: experience in management of student-staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential, direct support and advice to students on non-academic matters.
• Manage and monitor Support to Study cases and respond to residential in-college issues.
• Make initial decisions to connect students with the best available support for straightforward cases.
• Create, manage and securely maintain caseload records in line with University procedures.
• Deliver workshops, talks and training sessions for students and student leaders.
• Undertake occasional late and weekend working by arrangement to support events and activities.
