Job summary
Cambridge Regional College is seeking a Pastoral Support Advisor to empower EHCP and High Needs learners as they progress to work or higher education. The role is full-time (37 hours), term-time only, with a salary between £27,032 and £28,813 per annum, equivalent to a full-year £31,110–£33,160, plus staff benefits.
You will support students with complex needs, starting in Creative Industries, delivering 1:1 sessions, crisis intervention and a safe space, while managing a caseload and offering
Qualifications
- Recent experience with people with special education needs in a wellbeing capacity.
- Experience with young people and adults from diverse FE settings or equivalent.
- Empathy, emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
- Good safeguarding awareness and commitment to safe practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily 1:1 drop-in support and group lunch club.
- Deliver responsive emotional crisis intervention.
- Create a safe, structured space during unstructured times.
- Manage a caseload and offer guidance, information and mentoring.
