Job summary

Ferndown Middle School is seeking a dedicated pastoral support role to help students thrive by focusing on attendance, behaviour, welfare and safeguarding within a year group.

You will work with Heads of Year, Designated Safeguarding Leads and SLT to remove barriers to learning and ensure every child has the support they need to engage and succeed. Expect varied days, from coordinating support with external agencies to monitoring attendance and responding to concerns.

Qualifications

• Provide attendance, behaviour, welfare and safeguarding support for a year group.

Responsibilities

• Support attendance, investigate concerns and respond to behaviour incidents.
• Build strong relationships with students and families to remove barriers to learning.
• Be a calm presence in challenging situations and a trusted point of contact for families.
