Job summary

You will drive behaviour, attendance and engagement, while delivering enriching activities and pupil leadership opportunities within a supportive, inclusive school community.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting vulnerable pupils and implementing effective support strategies.
• Strong behaviour management, communication and organisational skills.
• Experience of managing colleagues or influencing practice to improve outcomes for pupils.
• Understanding safeguarding and SEND and awareness of trauma and neurodiversity.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils to develop positive behaviour, attendance and engagement.
• Work with families and other professionals to implement effective support.
• Help pupils develop wellbeing and mental health.
• Provide guidance to colleagues to ensure consistent approaches across the school.
• Support development and review of individual support plans, risk assessments and interventions.
• Use data to identify where additional support is needed.
• Support safeguarding across the school as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Line manage members of the pastoral team.
• Help lead pupil voice and leadership opportunities through the Junior Leadership Team.
• Oversee pupil mentoring and assemblies/enrichment activities.
