Job summary

Hednesford Valley High School is seeking an Every Child Matters Co-ordinator on a temporary maternity cover basis. You will join the middle leadership team to support students and families, remove barriers to learning, and strengthen home–school partnerships.

The role involves improving attendance, wellbeing and engagement while liaising with staff, parents and external agencies. Key duties include safeguarding, data recording, and attending multi-agency meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, families and external agencies.
• Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
• Organised, proactive, able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Identify and support students at risk of disengagement or poor attendance.
• Work with individuals and groups to improve attendance, behaviour and outcomes.
• Engage with parents/carers, including home visits where appropriate.
• Signpost families to support services and coordinate with external agencies.
• Attend child protection conferences and multi-agency meetings.
• Oversee safeguarding, attendance and welfare across the school.
• Maintain confidential records in line with safeguarding/data protection.
