Job summary

Hednesford Valley High School is seeking a dedicated EveryChild Matters Co-ordinator to join our middle leadership team, supporting students and families to remove barriers to learning and ensure every young person can achieve their full potential.

Working closely with staff, parents, carers and external agencies, you will help improve attendance, behaviour, wellbeing and engagement, while strengthening the partnership between home and school.

Qualifications

• Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Ability to work with children, families and external agencies.
• Organised and proactive with good record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Identify and support students at risk of disengagement.
• Work with individual students to improve attendance and outcomes.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers, including home visits.
• Signpost families to relevant support services and collaborate with external agencies.
• Attend and contribute to child protection conferences and multi-agency meetings.
• Attend Looked After Children Educational Meetings.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with safeguarding requirements.
• Organise and oversee break and lunchtime provision, supervising staff.
• Oversee safe departure of students from after-school activities.
• Promote safeguarding, inclusion and student welfare across the school.
