Job summary

Vision West Nottinghamshire College is seeking a Transition, Achievement and Progression Coach to support new students as they enter college, helping them choose the right courses and progress to further study or employment. The role requires excellent motivational, assertiveness and communication skills, strong administrative abilities, and experience with databases to generate regular reports.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people/adults in a support role is essential.
• Excellent motivational, assertiveness and communication skills at all levels.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with a flexible, positive attitude.
• Experience using databases, processing information and creating regular reports.
• IT qualification is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Manage gathering of appropriate transition information.
• Support the transition of new students into college onto the right course.
• Help students stay in learning, achieve and progress to further study or employment.
• Deliver assertiveness mentoring to enable successful transitions.
• Embed college values in daily practice (Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, Compassion and Ambition).
