Job summary

Education Supply Pool Ltd. is seeking Student Teachers to join our supply team in Abertillery and surrounding areas. If you are working toward QTS/PGCE and want to gain classroom experience while completing your teaching qualification, this is for you.

The role offers a daily rate of £125 paid PAYE, no timesheets, and flexible short- to long-term placements. A valid UK driver’s licence can improve chances for assignments.

Qualifications

• On course to obtain QTS, PGCE or BA in Education.
• Minimum 3 months experience teaching in UK primary/secondary schools.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour and maintain discipline.

Responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum and provide engaging lessons across key stages.
• Liaise with staff to deliver the curriculum and assess pupils.
• Inspire and motivate pupils to achieve learning goals.

The successful candidate

• Are you on course to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a PGCE or a BA in Education?
• Have a minimum 3-month experience of teaching within a UK Primary or Secondary School,
• Be able to deal with challenging behaviour and maintain discipline,
• Plan innovative and creative lessons with the correct Education and Training
• Liaise with other staff members to deliver curriculum,
• Maintain necessary assessment of pupils,
• Be able to inspire and motivate pupils
