Job summary

Henry Blue Ltd is seeking a Full Time Personal Development Tutor to inspire and guide young people toward personal development, wellbeing and progression. You will create engaging group sessions and conduct regular one-to-one progress discussions to support learner growth and confidence.

You will work closely with staff to identify learners needing extra support, maintain records, and promote an inclusive, supportive learning environment across the program.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring or pastoral support within education.
• Ability to boost learner confidence, engagement and personal skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Enhanced DBS required.

Full Time Personal Development Tutor

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with their personal development, confidence, wellbeing and progression towards further education and employment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging group tutorial sessions in line with the scheme of work.
• Hold regular one-to-one discussions with learners to review their academic progress, personal development and wider skills.
• Support learners in developing confidence, independence, communication and employability skills.
• Encourage positive behaviours, attitudes towards learning and effective engagement.
• Monitor learner progress, identify those requiring additional support and provide appropriate guidance.
• Work closely with teaching staff to identify concerns, support at-risk learners and monitor interventions.
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress, discussions and support provided.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, pastoral support or working within an education setting.
• Experience supporting young people and developing their confidence, engagement and personal skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to deliver group sessions and provide one-to-one support.
• Enhanced DBS required.
• Must be available to start ASAP.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week.
