Scottish Borders Council is seeking a Pupil Support Assistant to assist with a range of duties across the school day. You will help with communication, written tasks, IT use, mobility and personal care under the guidance of Head Teacher, Class Teacher and Learning Support staff.

No formal qualifications are required, but a reasonable standard of school education is desirable. Pupil Support Assistants will undertake on-the-job training as and when available; the council also commits to

Responsabilités

• Communication with pupils and staff.
• Assist with written tasks.
• Assist with use of IT.
• Support pupils with mobility and personal care.
• Supervise during intervals and lunch times.
• Assist with feeding and medication after training.
• Help implement plans devised by CT/LST or other agencies as required.
• Monitor informal progress of pupils in learning and behaviour.
