Job summary

Broadstone First School is seeking a Learning Mentor to support pupils who need additional help to thrive. You will assist with academic, social and emotional development, building confidence and resilience, and work in classrooms, one-to-one sessions and during key transitions.

You will collaborate with teachers, families and external agencies to ensure every child receives appropriate support and encouragement, fostering trust and positive relationships across the school community.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or families preferred.
• Patience, resilience and compassion are essential.
• Ability to connect with young people and build trust.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils who need additional help to succeed academically, socially or emotionally.
• Help pupils build confidence, self-esteem and resilience.
• Assist in classrooms and during one-to-one interventions and transitions.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and external agencies to ensure pupils receive needed support.
• Celebrate any breakthroughs and progress in pupils' learning and wellbeing.
