Job summary

Ad Warrior Ltd is seeking a Student Support Assistant at Fakenham Academy during the autumn term 2026. Permanent role (32.5 hours a week – Term Time plus 1 week).

You will work with students who have special educational needs and disabilities, helping them access learning, and promoting independence and confidence. You will follow the Professional Standards for Teaching Assistants and collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to support a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with young people, or in an educational environment, is desirable.

Responsibilities

• As a Student Support Assistant, you will work flexibly with students across the school who have a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities.
• You will help them access learning in the classroom, provide tailored support, and promote independence and confidence.
• You will follow the Professional Standards for Teaching Assistants, including upholding personal and professional conduct, developing knowledge of your role, supporting high-quality teaching and learning, and working effectively with others.
