Job summary

Meridian Trust is seeking a Student Support Assistant to join our Pastoral Team. The role involves administrative and pastoral support to the house leadership and helping promote positive behaviour across all students.

37 hours per week, on site, within the Meridian Trust family. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and spoken communication, experience in administration and working with young people, and a commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding.

Qualifications

  • Good educational background with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience of administration background, education and working with young people
  • Able to make positive relationships with children, parents, staff and outside agencies
  • Positive and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work within a team as well as on own initiative.
  • Knowledge of the need for confidentiality and awareness of child protection issues
  • Flexibility of working hours, committed and reliable with excellent timekeeping

We are now looking to appoint a Student Support Assistant within our Pastoral Team who shares our core values which are set out clearly in the job description.
