Job summary

Stamford Welland Academy is seeking a Level 1 Teaching Assistant who is passionate, creative and dedicated to helping students realise their potential. You will work under the SENDCO to enable access to learning and to support the Class Teacher in managing pupils and the classroom.

This role offers 30 hours per week across 39 weeks per year (term time plus one week) with Grade 4, Points 3–5 (£15,882.81–£16,415.80).

Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent in English Language is required.
  • Strong understanding of how children learn.
  • Ability to foster self-esteem and motivation in students.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with pupils.

Responsibilities

  • Support students to access learning under SENDCO guidance.
  • Assist the class teacher in managing students and classroom.
  • Encourage inclusion and promote student engagement.

We currently have a vacancy for a passionate, creative and dedicated Teaching Assistant, who thrives on helping students realise their potential at Stamford Welland Academy. You will work under the direction of the SENDCO, to enable access to learning for students and to aid the Class Teacher in the management of students and the classroom.

  • Has excellent communication skills and is able to develop and sustain positive relationships with pupils.
