Job summary

Mary Cariola Center is hosting open interviews for a Classroom Aide in Buffalo, NY. The event is Tuesday, October 6, 3:00–5:00 PM; submission required to attend; schedule is Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–4:00 PM; on-site position.

The role supports students' daily living and educational activities, including ADLs, lifting, PE and therapeutic programs. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and 18+,; preferred 3–6 months related experience.

Qualifications

• Must have English reading, writing and speaking ability.
• Ability to understand safety rules and procedures.
• 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students throughout the school day in class and related programs.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living and motor skills.
• Provide lifting, moving and positioning of students.
• Support in Specially Designed Physical Education and therapeutic programs.
• Provide behavioral support per agency policies.
• Maintain a safe, healthy classroom environment.
• Document observations and share with the teacher.
• Interact with parents and visitors as needed.
