Job summary

Kingston College is seeking a Pastoral Tutor for term-time delivery. You will track progress of Further Education learners, conduct 1:1 meetings and deliver college group tutorial programmes.

You will liaise with staff and parents/guardians, signpost to wider support, and contribute to safeguarding with a caseload. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential; experience in youth/community work is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering student workshops or tutorials to a diverse range of students.
  • Experience of youth and community work.
  • Clear understanding of the needs of students and how these may be met.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct 1:1 meetings with learners to monitor progress.
  • Deliver college group tutorial programmes.
  • Liaise with staff and parents/guardians regarding learner progress.
  • Signpost learners to wider support as and when needed.
  • Be part of the College Safeguarding team and support a caseload of students.
