Job summary

Education Matters Group is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Tutor for the Tutorial & Enrichment Team at a thriving FE college. You will deliver weekly tutorial sessions, mentor students, and support their wellbeing and progression as they prepare for Higher Education and UCAS applications.

The role focuses on improving attendance and achievement, building strong relationships with staff and students, and helping learners reach their full potential from August/September 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people in an education or pastoral setting.
• Experience working with A Level students and supporting UCAS applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate, mentor and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Genuine passion for student wellbeing and development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver weekly tutorial sessions and mentoring to students throughout their college journey.
• Support attendance, retention, achievement and progression while promoting wellbeing.
• Assist students with next steps including Higher Education and UCAS applications.
