Job summary

Outwood Academy Brumby is seeking a Learning Manager to champion student welfare, monitor progress, and drive targeted interventions. You will work closely with staff to support students who face barriers to learning and collaborate with external agencies to secure timely support.

The role emphasizes using MIS data to identify needs, coordinating with parents, and leading the Team Around the Child framework.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure.
• Familiarity with MIS systems and data-driven interventions.
• Experience liaising with external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all students in assigned year group using MIS and Praising Stars data to identify concerns and implement interventions.
• Act as first point of contact for behaviour incidents and support consequences, including contacting parents.
• Chair Children in Need and Team Around the Child meetings; handle referrals and coordinate support through Education Welfare.
• Coordinate year group logistics such as vaccinations, photographs, and attendance checks.
