Job summary

London Academy for Applied Technology (LAAT) is seeking a Student Success Manager to lead the college's student retention strategy and oversee academic progression initiatives. You will coordinate interventions for at‑risk students, work with data analysts to translate outcomes into action, and ensure compliance with OfS conditions and related frameworks.

The role focuses on developing supportive student experiences, coordinating with safeguarding and wellbeing teams, and reporting on outcomes

Qualifications

• Experience in student-facing advisory roles within higher or further education.
• Strong data literacy to interpret student outcome data and inform interventions.
• Knowledge of safeguarding frameworks and OfS/TEF requirements relevant to student support.
• Ability to manage a caseload, meet reporting deadlines and work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the College's student success strategy to improve retention, continuation and progression.
• Monitor attendance, engagement and academic performance data to intervene early.
• Manage a caseload of at-risk students with personalised plans and referrals.
• Track retention and continuation rates against targets and OfS requirements, escalating as needed.
• Develop and deliver personal tutoring and support processes integrated with success monitoring.
