Job summary

Barking & Dagenham College is seeking a proactive Student Liaison Officer to support learners in developing core skills for work and life. You will model positive behaviour, liaise with staff and external agencies, and help maintain a safe, welcoming college environment.

Responsibilities include supervising students, handling behavioral issues non-confrontationally, and supporting staff in promoting attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

• English and Maths at Level 2 or above.
• Be willing to take the Designated Safeguarding Lead qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive role model to students and promote good behaviour.
• Act as College ambassador to maintain a safe, welcoming learning environment.
• Work day and evening shifts as directed by the Student Liaison Manager.
• Monitor student behaviour and support staff and external agencies as needed.
• Supervise break times and ensure respectful conduct.
• Assist staff in encouraging attendance, punctuality and behaviour.
