The Teaching Timetabling and Course Selection Project (TTCS) is looking for Edinburgh student interns to work alongside the project team to research and define what students need from a future self-enrolment service. The interns will research the current student experience of course selection and enrolment, gather feedback from students through a variety of mechanisms, write up findings, assist the Design Leads with data-related tasks, and help turn findings into clear insights, recommendations and visuals for the project team and University decision-makers.

  • Be comfortable talking and listening to other students
  • Be interested in how the University could improve the student experience
  • Be interested in understanding different student perspectives

These internship posts are fixed-term up to 31 July 2027, and part time (14 hours per week). We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working, however, there is an expectation that the successful candidates will work on campus regularly to support collaboration and engagement with colleagues. Ideally, interns will be available to work in person on the key anchor day (Thursday), when relevant team members are also typically based in the office. Some flexibility to attend workshops or engagement sessions outside standard working hours may occasionally be required.
