Job summary

The University of Edinburgh invites applications for student internship roles in Academic Planning (Registry Services). These 0.4FTE, part-time posts support research and design work on a new self-enrolment service, with fixed-term end date 31 July 2027.

You will research how students choose and enrol on courses, gather feedback, and help convert insights into actionable recommendations. Successful interns will work on campus regularly, with some hybrid flexibility.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a taught student at the University of Edinburgh for the duration of the internship.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Interest in user research and improving student experiences is required.
• Ability to organize and interpret information for analysis and insights.

Responsibilities

• Research current student experience of course selection and enrolment.
• Gather feedback from students through multiple channels and write up findings.
• Assist Design Leads with data-related tasks and turn findings into insights and visuals.
• Support the TTCS project team and university decision-makers with recommendations.
