Job summary

Reaseheath College and University Centre is seeking a proactive Student Support Officer to join the Student Services team. You will help ensure the safety, wellbeing and development of all learners on site, including residential students, through supportive coaching and strong relationship building.

You will work with the Head of Student Services and safeguarding colleagues to meet National Minimum Standards, manage campus security, and contribute to a positive, inclusive student experience.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Maths & English or equivalent.
• Excellent understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Willingness to undertake training including First Aid, Fire Safety Awareness, Conflict Resolution, Customer Service and Presentation Skills.
• Understanding of OFSTED National Minimum Standards desirable.
• Full clean driving license.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Head of Student Services and safeguarding team to contribute fully in striving to achieve all elements of the National Minimum Standards.
• Contribute to ensuring students stay and/or visit to Reaseheath is rewarding and enjoyable.
• Work to provide a safe and secure environment that enables students to develop personal, social and life skills.
• Take part in regular patrolling of the campus and accommodation buildings.
• Utilise College systems to full effect to maximise information sharing and reporting.
