Job summary

Gloucestershire College is seeking a proactive Student Safeguarding Officer to support learners' safety, wellbeing and success. You will manage safeguarding concerns, provide advice and one-to-one support, and work with colleagues and external agencies.

The role involves delivering awareness sessions, maintaining safeguarding records, and staying updated with policies. A Level 3 safeguarding qualification or equivalent experience, plus experience coordinating multi-agency meetings, is required.

Qualifications

• GSCP Saf safeguarding Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience contributing to or leading multi-agency meetings.
• Experience of responding to disclosures of abuse, risk assessments and safeguarding records.

Responsibilities

• Manage safeguarding concerns, provide advice and one-to-one support to students.
• Work closely with colleagues and external agencies to ensure appropriate welfare support.
• Deliver safeguarding awareness sessions and maintain accurate safeguarding records.
