University of Southampton - School of Physics & Astronomy is seeking a permanent General Assistant to support our Halls of Residence. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service to students and stakeholders, with duties ranging from stock movement to safety inspections across multiple sites on campus.

The 36-hour weekly contract operates on rotating shifts (8am-4pm, 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm) and occasional weekend/evening work during peak periods.

Qualifikationen

• Basic PC skills with email use.
• Strong customer focus and reliability.
• Flexible and enthusiastic team member.

Aufgaben

• Move furniture/equipment across sites and monitor stock.
• Carry out routine safety inspections including room inspections and legionella flushing.
• Assist with post/parcel duties and respond to lock outs.
• Respond to fire alarms and escalate as appropriate.
