Job summary

Google in the United Kingdom is seeking a Student Researcher Program Manager to serve as the strategic owner of the SRP across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You will bridge external academia with Google’s leading research teams, shaping demand and delivering high-impact engagement strategies for top PhD talent.

You will partner with senior leadership, employer brand teams, and global colleagues to scale the program, leveraging conferences, events, mentorship, and a vibrant community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in program or project management.
• Experience in managing stakeholder relationships in an organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee high-profile engagement initiatives, including PhD Summits, university events, conferences and technical sessions.
• Partner with employer brand and technical leadership to strengthen Google’s position as a destination for PhD and research talent. Build relationships across the academic and research ecosystem to support long-term talent engagement.
• Own the end-to-end operational strategy for SRP in EMEA. Partner with global counterparts to ensure the program scales effectively to meet the business’s research needs.
• Act as a strategic partner to Research, DeepMind and Product Area leadership, providing insights on talent trends, program needs and SRP health. Partner with Vendor Delivery Specialists (VDS) to ensure effective and timely delivery of talent.
• Own the EMEA host experience, including training, resources and ongoing support. Build a high-touch experience for Student Researchers throughout their tenure.
