Job summary

Hugh Baird College in Bootle is seeking a proactive Student Recruitment Officer to inspire future learners and guide them from initial enquiry to enrolment. The role blends information sharing, planning and relationship building to support high-quality student recruitment.

You will represent the college at events, visit schools and colleges, manage enquiries, and contribute to marketing and admissions activities across the main campus.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with groups
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Customer-focused mindset with a service orientation
• Confident using Microsoft Office tools
• Flexible and friendly team player
• Marketing or business qualification is desirable
• Experience in education or information, advice and guidance (IAG) is advantageous
• Understanding of post-14 education routes is helpful
• Experience using social media for customer service is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Deliver clear information, advice and guidance to students and parents
• Respond to enquiries from students, parents and schools
• Represent the College at open events, taster days and careers fairs
• Visit schools and colleges to deliver presentations and workshops
• Support major recruitment events across all sites
• Maintain enquiry data and support analysis of trends
• Liaise with curriculum teams to ensure course information is up to date
• Manage version control of marketing and admissions materials
• Support with social media enquiry handling and content ideas

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join us as a Student Recruitment Officer to help inspire future learners and guide them on their journey from first enquiry to enrolment.
