Job summary

Sunderland College is seeking a dedicated progress and development tutor to empower students at our City and HICSA campuses. You will coach individuals and groups, set targets, and use ProMonitor to monitor progress, focusing on English and maths to close achievement gaps.

You will work with teaching teams, support staff, parents and students to foster a supportive environment and help learners achieve their personal goals. A strong commitment to inclusive education is essential.

Qualifications

Experience of working with young people.
Effective use of digital and IT resources.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work with a wide range of learners.

Responsibilities

Work as part of a faculty team to support students in personal development.
Deliver and monitor the student development programme with 1:1 tutorials.
Support students with the UCAS process and personal statements.
Monitor attendance, punctuality, and progress across caseload with timely interventions.
Proactively use ProMonitor to track the Student Journey and progress.
Address safeguarding needs and follow duty of care procedures.
